32|365 The Timing Was Right (2/5/11)

The majority of my day I spent deciphering the handwriting in two old letters. I enlisted Keith’s and my Mom’s help to figure out some of the words.  I thought I’d show my work area in our garage.  With my camera on a tripod, I practiced using the self-timer so I could be in the photo.  It has a 2 second setting, which is worthless if the photographer needs in the photo.  The other timer gives enough time to get into the photo and it takes two pictures.  The polarizing lens Keith bought me works like magic on the glare from the computer screen.

Oh, those old letters I transcribed were written in 1863 & 1864 by Keith’s great, great, great grandfather.  Read them on my blog post entitled “Gone With The Wind”.

Of note today: The outdoor temperatures were warmer and lots of snow melted.  Our home smells so welcoming with the aroma of the chicken and dumplings Keith is making.
